Provider selection guide

Choose the contractor for the scope, not the sales pitch

The right evidence depends on the wall and jurisdiction. Start with a clear project brief, then test capability, responsibility and commercial clarity against the work actually proposed.

Short answer

Shortlist providers with relevant system and project experience, confirm current licence and insurance evidence where applicable, compare complete scopes and speak with recent clients about similar work.

Evidence to request

  • Recent comparable projects and contactable references with permission.
  • Current licence details appropriate to the work and jurisdiction where required.
  • Current insurance evidence and the insured entity name.
  • Named wall system, suppliers and professional collaborators.
  • A written scope, exclusions, programme, payment stages and warranty process.

Questions about delivery

Ask who visits, quotes, supervises and performs the work; how design changes and latent conditions are handled; where spoil goes; how drainage is tested; what records are handed over; and how defects are reported. Clear operational answers are stronger than generic claims about quality.

An introduction is not an endorsement

A provider introduction should reflect coverage and project fit. You still decide whom to engage and should complete your own current evidence checks.
